ABOUT US

The Otter River Pub, affectionately known as "The Onion," is a historic bar and social hub in Baldwinville, Massachusetts. The building itself dates back to 1881, originally constructed by Francis Leland as the Otter River General Store, serving the local community for generations. Over the years, it has housed various businesses, including a furniture store before eventually becoming the beloved pub it is today.

For decades, the Otter River Pub has been a cherished meeting place, known for its live music, open mic nights, pool tables, and laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Locals and visitors alike have gathered here for good food, drinks, and entertainment, making it a staple in Baldwinville's nightlife and community culture.

However, in September 2023, tragedy struck when a devastating fire caused significant damage to the building's upper floors and roof. Despite the extensive destruction, the community rallied behind the pub, and after months of reconstruction, it successfully reopened in February 2024. The reopening was a moment of celebration, showcasing the resilience of both the pub and the loyal patrons who refused to let it fade away.
